I’m in the Dolomoties in northern Italy with Ferrari for the launch of the new GTC4Lusso – the replacement to the FF. Taking power from the 6.3l V12 up to 690Cv and reducing 0-100km/h times from 3.7 to 3.4s, the new car packs a sporty punch while enhancing it’s GT-style characteristics simultaneously. The day involves plenty of opportunity to put the GTC4Lusso through its paces on mountain roads and learn what it’s all about.

In the last 9 months I have driven 8,000 miles in my FF, so naturally this is a very interesting car to me and a big thanks goes to Ferrari for the invitation to join them. The question that remains though, is should I upgrade to it?

Though the purists may not be down with Porsche’s new “all turbo” lineup of sports cars, I have to admit – I’m on board with it. From the base Carrera which is now a legitimately fast car, to the new 4S, which I fell in love with during our week with the car. The Carrera 4S carries a bit more weight than the base car, but packs a 420 HP punch, incredible ride quality and handling, and the kind of practicality that would make me want to daily drive this thing through all four seasons. The Smoking Tire Podcast’s Zack Klapman joins Matt for this review.

It’s not every day you get the opportunity to ride shotgun in a Ferrari FXX K with former Formula 1 driver, René Arnoux at the wheel!

Fortunately for me, the Festival of Speed was just that day and I was lucky enough to jump into the passenger seat of Ferrari’s incredible hyper-racecar for an experience on the Goodwood hillclimb.

The car boasts a phenomenal 1036hp from a combination of the V12 and KERS systems, and with a lot of trick technology and engineering at play it makes for a mind bending experience.
