We made a very unusual record with this beautiful event organized by “Porsche Centre Taganka” (www.porsche-asc.ru) and “Villagio Estate” (www.villagio.ru). In this film, we have tried to give maximum emotions that panamera. To mark the launch of Need For Speed Rivals, we’re looking at some of the finest car chases in cinema. The seventh of ten episodes looks at a scene from 2 Fast 2 Furious. Join evo editor Nick Trott and Den of Geek deputy editor Ryan Lambie as they discuss the best parts of the chase in great detail.Released in 2001, the first Fast & The Furious film was an odd creation. Its street racing premise was taken from a magazine article. Its title was taken from an old Roger Corman movie. Its plot, as director Rob Cohen himself admitted on the movie’s commentary track, was cribbed from Kathryn Bigelow’s 1991 thriller, Point Break. Yet despite all of this liberal borrowing, The Fast & The Furious was a success, establishing a larger-than-life series that, if anything, is more popular now than it was more than a decade ago.
The 2003 sequel had to make do without the co-star of the first film (Vin Diesel) and its director, who’d both gone off to make the action flick xXx. Instead, 2 Fast 2 Furious focuses on ex-cop Brian O’Conner (Paul Walker again) and his new sidekick, childhood friend Roman Pearce (Tyrese Gibson). Together, they have to find a way to bring down evil drug boss Carter Verone (Carter Hauser), preferably by driving very fast in modified cars with custom paint jobs.
Before all that, though, Walker’s character is reintroduced in an illegal street race – one of the chief selling points of the first movie. Neatly summing up the Fast franchise as a whole, it’s daft, implausible, but also a lot of fun…

That Audi Sport Quattro concept we saw in Frankfurt is now out in the wild in video form. Tom Cruise may be playing Carroll Shelby in the upcoming film “Go Like Hell”. Aston Martin is preparing its own SUV based off the Lagonda Concept (although, hopefully it doesn’t look too much like that concept). Also, Land Rover introduces an extended Range Rover, and by extended we just mean longer. Plus, we have Friendsday Wednesday! Packing up their muddy gear and hitting the road, the 2013 Ultimate Adventure crew began the next leg of their southern journey in Georgia for a road day, with plans to be in Florida by nightfall. Being part of the UA means experiencing all kinds of off-road elements, including sights and stops found along the route that most people just drive past, like Allied Metal Recycling. Drawn in by the vintage Jeeps seen from the roadside, the UA crew stopped at this Mecca of parts and vehicles, and were able to scavenge, do some wrecking of their own, and pick up parts – with one group even finding their vehicle for next year’s UA. Another stop at a World War II flight museum added to the day’s experience before the after-dark arrival at Mud Muckers park in Florida to set up camp for the night.Catch the entire week of 2013 Ultimate Adventure on the Motor Trend Channel October 28th through November 1st with a new video premiering each day!
